Could probably have taken the orange down to half an inch, made it more of a pin stripe, but stage 3 should balance it some. There are layout choices I would not make again, but overall I’m happy with the design. And the color variance. The inital concept was straddling the line between grim dark and monotonous.

Elected to ditch binding-style joins halfway through the border process, so they’re a mix but I’m not particularly fussed about it. Stage three may end up being over-the-top, but I can live without it, if it comes to that. I never expected it to turn out this well on the first try. Not with this many curves. And 6″ blocks. WTF was I thinking.

Now it also needs a good pressing, thread clipping, and half an hour with the lint roller. So boring. Right now what I really want is a new EPP project. And maybe a needle threader; even the large eye applique needles are miniscule.
