Too much adulting this weekend, but finally broke the seal on Basketcase. Settled on a 1″ white pinstripe to start. Tested a new marking pen on the joins. Per the package it should last a week or two depending on humidity – apparently that translates to 1 hour in the Pacific Northwest.
Funny thing happened when I pulled the border fabric. Kris recommended a 3″ fleurish border. When I got home, I found the 3 yards of the same fabric I bought back in February to make a 12″ border and bump it from twin to queen. Guess that means I trust her taste. Taking the border back to 12″ and binding with the new yardage.
