Still haven’t free quilted either castle, but my hands are getting itchy. Not really in the mood to paint, and now within walking distance of a fabric shop. Only made sense to buy extra – all those stash busters have left me with limited options. No fun. I should probably think about a Project Linus quilt to or two to clear out the novelty fabrics.

Picked up three blenders of the same pattern in different hues. Its usually a bit too matchy for me, but my bolds are extremely bold and I think this one could use the continuity boost. The lighting washed out the darks, but its close enough to get a feel for yardage.

If anything is going to reinforce the need to square up blocks, it’s Drunkard’s Path. Took a while to get to a livable layout, but the basic outline is there. Ran some color combos to test contrast, but fabric maps better physically than digitially. I prefer the frame layout. Without it, it feels more like chaos descending than bubbles rising. Cthlulhu vs the Kraken.
