Not crazy about any of the available background options, but then again, not all that crazy about the castle, though is has started to put me in mind of Doctor Brain. Not really feeling the free quilting yet, and the new fabric won’t get here until Friday. I have too many large scale patterns. But I do have the last of the mermaid jelly rolls. They’re not ideal, but practice is practice.
Finally got smart and improvised a drying rack from aluminum wire. Still probably 2 wash cycles till all the dried stabilizer is out of my wet palette, but at least it’s not getting worse. I can’t imagine that shit plays nice with acrylics. Hopefully I remember the silicone applique mat before I gunk up the soleplate of my iron. Again.
Ended up scrounging more purple from the pile, but hanging dry is significantly faster.
