It’s very busy. The contrast could be better. But, as first attempts go, not a dumpster fire. Should make a passable cushion once it’s quilted. Maybe a dragon next. Or a mermaid; make it a set for the pipsqueak. Or maybe retry the castle at the original scale…
First things first, need to plan the quilting in Procreate and think about thread colors. Once the background is layered in. Might be worth airbrushing a solid with a subtle gradient, rather than fussing about competing patterns. And it may be worth trying a dry run of Tentacular at a smaller scale before I start another full size project.
