So much easier without the wiggles dropping by to help. Definitely seeing the appeal of raw edge applique. This would be beyond my patience level in needle turn. Maybe EPP…. Maybe not. Starting from the back helped. Not sure my initial triad strikes the right chord, but trying not to overthink the prototype. First drafts are fragile.
Still rather sketchy, but more castley with the roofs in place. Curious how much the stitching is going to enhance or confuse things; free motion quilting has never been my bailiwick. For now, finish the base and the guardhouse, maybe shade the towers to match their roofs.
