Been a while since I went full floor troll. Can’t start the layout without knowing there are enough scales or the patterns will end up puddled. Did a rough run of the numbers to include some overage for the edges and layout overload. It came out strangely on point – estimated 168 scales per side and have 337 cut and stitched.
Given how close the numbers are, a test count seemed in order. 156 scales placed. The count confirmed the pattern skew and the layout feels too muted. Prepped another 80 scales in saturated teals to balance things out.
