My back hurts. Either my craptastic posture has caught up to my hand-quilting, or the table is too tall. My feet are never flat on the floor and there is entirely too much torsion happening. Trying to keep my drawing lessons in mind, but paper and iPads are easier to rotate. Finally cut down the excess wadding and backing, hopefully it will be less awkward moving forward. And shed less. Schnikes.
Considered trying things Chris English-style, but worried I’ll slouch worse on the loveseat. And stab myself more if I don’t have the table / cutting mat.
Started with echo stitching in gradiated black thread. It worked ok on the concert t, but Darth got me thinking about options. Always tough to know where to stop. I tell myself to keep the stitches wide set and quick and then I zone out and my spine hates me again. Not great with the move three weeks out.
Can’t imagine it helps that hand-stitching is all I’m currently doing. Bored with the scrap blocks and not feeling the basketcase afterquilt. Might be time to put it away and get rolling on mermaid tail 2.0. I can always come back to it. Or not. Plain backs suit me fine too. Only thing I know for sure is this wadding is not migrating anywhere.
