Wasn’t crazy about any of the jaw alignments. Considered reconstructing the block with the teeth and nostrils offset, but it looks better with four teeth. Rather than cut the center block down to size, removed an inch from each of the side blocks to compensate (12.5-12.5-12.5 to 11.5-14.5-11.5). Couldn’t bring myself to just cut them, so chalked out the offset, ran the seam, and rough matched with the bottom blocks before pressing and trimming.

Cranium has winkles already. Ended up offset 1/8″-ish on either side of the 4-block joins with the outer skull seams matched. Had I trimmed the center block, I probably wouldn’t have had to ease in enough fabric to rumple, but it’s nothing that quilting won’t help mitigate. If it was going to happen somewhere, and it always does, buried in the bone is the least noticeable join.

It’s not perfect, but it’s for me, and I’m quite happy with the effort overall. I like the final modification on the jawline. Once I get moved, I need to get back to looking for a longarm quilter.
