Couldn’t remember where I left the rest of the pillow fabrics, so I improvised with what was in the basket. The overall shape squared up pretty well, but was a relief to find the rest of the fabric. It goes together faster than I expected, and the single thread makes ripping things out a little too easy. Have to be careful not to catch the wrong threads or accidentally shred the seam allowance.

When thread basting, I’m definitely a paper piercer. I tried to just tuck the corners on one hexie, but was harder to keep things shaped and was the one paper that pooped out early. I ordered some glue sticks off Amazon to see if I like that better. It does seem like it will be easier on the joints with fewer threads to clip and tangle and mess with my stitching.
