Ugh. I thought the secondary materials would be less of a slog. Good thing I’m used to being wrong. In any event, the prep work is done and assembly can begin. Finally. Here’s hoping I’m still happy with my fabric choices in a couple hours.
My red selvage was odd sized and left me wth an undercut bit. As it was the bottom lining, I elected to piece to together from scraps. Off-white top thread with blue in the bobbin to secure the soft ends of the loop tape, then to full blue for the binding. I elected to machine stitch the binding to the exterior pieces, rather than the lining. I think that’s where I call it for tonight and practice my invisible binding stitch on the couch.
