I should have put more (any) thought into the tail, but I find the gather rather endearing. Less so the three or four raw edges I missed by not squaring up the top before I hand stitched the blanket binding. Sealed them with zig-zag stitching that blends well – could be worse.
Finally got around to giving EPP a shot. It definitely has potential and I do love geometric pattern.
