OK, losing daylight. Decided not to bother redoing the stucco on the dark green builds, and move on to the tavern. Trying not to compound issues by rotating too soon, and letting the stucco pool at the edges like it did on the tower. One elevation is done but the second is taking for.ev.er to set. At least I started with the most awkward sides; should be smooth sailing from here.

While that sets, time to finish touch-ups. No dry-brushing until after weathering – too easy to get caught in a loop of diminishing returns. Just cover any chips or overflows and make sure the underside of the roof is as opaque as possible. Might need to add a little black to the burnt umber.
And now I’m pooped, but the roofs are in place and I really want a set of electric scissors. That is an another day’s Amazon binge; today is cooked. I’ll have to see how I feel about them in the morning, once I worry at the edges some more, but for tonight I’m satisfied. Thankfully, the coco coir is easy to patch. I do prefer the strips of thatching to the single piece – more visual interest. I should pull some references on roof stitching; can probably fake it with yarn or floss…
Cleaning up stucc-faux resulted in the grittiest fruit roll-up ever.
