Once more with feeling

OK, mostly OK with the upper half, but the skirt lacks contexts. She’s an earth elemental, so stone makes sense, but I fake rock all the time. Was thinking petrified wood, but I should hve planned ahead to make allowances, test runs, etc. Guess that makes this a good time to try straight woodgrain. Round 1 diluted Dragn White paint and Vallejo black Game Ink.

Cover with a mix of sepia and umber washes, let cure and repeat. Made a bad choice to use the Vallejo Piel (skin) ink to marry the coats. Matte varnish toned down the extreme shine but the color is still too saturated for the rest fo the mini. Maybe a Stone Grey / Harvest Brown dry brush to lighten things up before I try again.
