Found the errant knight wandering around the back of the WIP shelf. Pretty sure CJ started her at a game shop for a campaign that’s now concluded. Since she was already based, I figured I’d seal the deal. Cape still needs work, but I’m overdue for a blending exercise. Not sure that I’ll be extending Sam levels of patience, but it’s good to have goals.
Apparently I got too close to the bottom of my pile o’ shame and had a reflex shop attack. I ordered the bloody coach. I should really childproof this thing; no shopping after 9pm. That being said, Nighthaunts are classic. There is a reason the nine leaving Minas Morgul was creepy AF.
I dunno about a color palette though. I appreciate the standard black with ethereal green, but I’ve also met me. I will be bored and then I will strip them, fire off without a new plan, lather rinse repeat. There was something I wanted to try with the dryads that I could never get right, maybe it’s time to revisit that. And remember that a full army is a lot of figures. Save the freakouts for the heroes – finishing is better than over complicating on the wall fodder.
That friggin coach though. I haven’t done proper OSL since the Scions of the Flame, would be good to revist that as well. The streamers around the wheels and hooves are pretty perfect for an airbrushed lightning effect. Nihilakh Oxide isn’t strong enough, maybe dig out the Tesseract Glow and try a test run. Pretty sure I did this once already but I can’t find the pictures. Probably best to test thru the airbrush over multiple primers anyway.
