In the world of What Else Could Go Wrong, my air compressor “walked” itself off of the table, but not before pushing the build off ahead to break it’s fall 🤦♀️ I suppose I did want more weathering. Patched and moved on. I should have prepped the bits-and-bobs better, but I got everything primed in the end. Including the new hooks I built out of fittings and bent wire.
Hit the nets with a mix of water, PVA, and black acrylic. They should be easier to prime next time I drag the airbrush out. The rest of the bits took primer ok, but I should have sanded some of the beads. Going to have to go back and hit them again.
Based and highlighted the house and roof in shades brown and then dry brushed with shades of gray. Came full circle on the wash – after all the recipes and different manufacturers, nothing really does the trick like black acrylic paint and water; takes longer, but builds better. I may hit it with one more layer of dry brushing but it’s down to a just hint of brown now.
