Took some time to catch-up on YouTube and was reminded yet again that Alphonso Dunn is fabulous. I noticed a year ago that I was better with the brush than the pen, but aside from shading large areas on the tilt, it never occurred to me to hold my implements any other way until I ran across his video reviewing different drawing grips. It’s been a while since I felt this dumb. Further research and a hobby knife have done more than any other single action I can think of. Still pressing a little too hard, but not nearly as bad; ten minutes to do what a year could not.
References pulled from multiple sources, but the most fun was the Florence and the Machine YT channel. I paused videos and tried to extrapolate the dancer’s frames from their costumes.
