My first attempt at this one was…schnikes. I kind of wish I had set it on fire. I wanted to go patchwork, but it went too far. Coupled with yet another round of buckled paper, I decided to take a mental health break. I may also have been seduced into delayed Amazon delivery for a paltry $1.50 credit on my next Murderbot Diary. The canvas boards do make things simpler and more convenient. Also faster and flatter.
I also had a better idea of what I wanted to achieve with the moonlight the second time around. Wishing I’d varied the spread on the water highlights more, but will have to see if I can break thing up more in the morning. And at how much will visible once I start adding the foreground elements. Likewise the shape of the moon, no point fussing if it’s going to be covered by a dragonfly’s flank.
