I wasn’t planning on starting another piece, but the oil wash still isn’t dry on the other planter or the square building. I’ve had these piranha-plant-in-a-pipe pieces set aside for a while, so figured I’d give it a shot. Not like it’s a secret that I’d rather be building than just about anything else. I really need more workspace. And to stop gluing my fingers to trash. If wishes were fishes, I’d be so bored.

The armature is aluminum wire and plastic halloween skull. I didn’t have great luck with this clay last time. It’s entirely possible that I’ll wake up tomorrow and the bulk will be in pieces, but it’s worth a second shot before I dump it. Still ticks the proof of concept box, and its not like its going to melt the armature. I have some Das I haven’t opened yet for the final layer and texture. I’m thinking sculptamold for the inside. I guess we’ll see what tomorrow brings.

EDIT: Nothing good. Not shocking but still poopy. No more no-name clay off Amazon. Still, if it doesn’t actually fall off, I may be able to secure it enough to not have to start over.
