It started out OK, but that shit went sideways with alacrity. I spent the next 2 hours unhappy with the sooty mess of it, so I went back and hit both falls with a dry brush of fairly opaque yellow, with a mix of yellow and orange contrast paints over the top. We’ll see how it looks in the morning. The absolute worst case, I re-airbrush or re-roll more clay. And I did catch the drip at the bottom before it solidified. Or landed on the table. I know better than to work without a drop cloth the size of Tulsa.

CJ requested a couple of stable paths from brick-to-brick for access to the behemoth. I kept it fairly light overall. I can always add more, but there is a limit to how much clay I’m will to re-roll for this one. If it doesn’t actually crack, I may extend the gloss coat and try reapplying thicker before I scrap it. Considering how little is visible, not crazy worried. Yet.

Besides, I already went overboard with the crackle once this weekend. From 12 hours to 24 and the shit still isn’t dry. Or dark enough.
