I need my empty halls to echo with grand self-mythology

I definitely like the Tombow Fudenosuke soft tip better than the hard. I think it may be a better fit than the Kuretake Fudengokochi too, but I need more practice with both. Pressure wasn’t really a concern in the past – too light, use more, problem solved. Now I’m trying to solve everything at once – pressure, angle, my absurdly ridiculous posture…

That being said, I can control line width far better with a brush, which leads me to believe that the concept isn’t the problem. I am. There is a instinct for function-over-form workmanship that takes hold and I somehow forget that a brush pen is not a #2 Dixon-Ticonderoga filling in standardized bubbles. It feels a bit late in the game to HG Wells in another dimension, but I suppose self-awareness is the first step. I do remember to spin the page now; thats gotta count for something. Sit up straight and remember to draw, not write. Especially with the lettering. yeesh.
