Basing the airbrushed terrain was…frankly it was fugly AF. I have no idea why I pushed it all the way thru to wash; it’s not like wash and I have a great track record. I remember being frustrated and, at the time, I think I just really wanted to clock my 30 minutes to keep the streak alive. They’ve been soaking in LA’s Totally Awesome for three days now; it’s probably time to bust out the toothbrush. At least they’re not fiddly. I printed some AirbrushNinja worksheets to practice with today, but I don’t think I’m going to prime again until I have a better handle on my airbrush.

I started on my jötunn warrior. Sadly, her push fit arm was over poured. I had done some trimming before the move, but the cement did not hold. I cleaned it up a little more, pinned it, and filled in the gaps with Vallejo plastic putty. I dunno if it’s the best choice, but its pretty convenient and it seems to have worked out ok. I would prefer to trim down her over-sized bust armor, but I don’t trust myself not to screw it up. I’ll get there eventually.

Ok, so maybe I go to blue and orange more than I realized. The skin is a pretty bright cerulean, so I figured I would keep the rest of the tones muted neutral. But it’s not very much skin, and if I’m going to practice layering on the cloak, I want more blue. I’m not sure why I washed it, but I’m not going to dwell on it more than I already have. On to dry-brushing and details.

I started layering and glazing the cloak, but my eyes and back staged a coup. I was forced to retreat to the couch and plot out a noir criminal empire instead. Life is rough.
