Even the wind is cooperating. I am officially out of excuses, but still pacing around not starting. Enough is enough; this is some bullshit. CrafsMan give me strength.
Had a moderately successful first attempt. I think I have the pressure where I want it and the paint consistency correct. I do have to use the cap though; I dumped a fair amount of paint the first few times through. This place doesn’t get Midwestern frigid, but my butt was an ice block after a couple hours. I ended up with bubbles leaking out the nozzle guard during backflow, so I broke the airbrush down and found the nozzle pretty packed with primer. I scrubbed it and the needle guard with a toothbrush, lubricated and reinstalled the needle. I guess I’ll see if it’s clogged once I have my Sichuan Peppercorn Mocha.
Things ran much smoother after lunch. I rechecked my connections and pressure before getting back to work and made it through about half the pile until I was done with the numb fingers and respirator headache. I’m not about to forgo it, but I’m done for today. I pulled the airbrush apart again, and nothing in the nozzle guard this time. Much left to learn but I am digging the path.
