Drybrushed over the wash and then went back in and punched up the raised surfaces with the yellow-green. Getting around the axe to the stripes on his belly was interesting, and it’s not as neat as I’d like, but its livable. I’m happy with the dark leather and bronze chain combo, I think I’ll use that for the chain around his waist as well.
I’m thinking steel with bronze details for the axe head and pommel, with the same brown based on his feet and belts for the wrap. The natural eye will get a slit pupil and the caged one will go bronze. Maybe a quick brass highlight on the bronze bits, some sunny flesh tone on the skin, and little brighter silver on the axe. For the base, I have some forest floor that could probably work for rain forest. Its early enough I could probably still finish the basing tonight and get the last wash applied. Or I could be satisfied with the two hours I already did and go read my book. Yes. That.
