I went a little overboard on Gits and Gloomhaven, so I declared a moratorium on spending. And then realized Warcry: Catacombs was about to disappear. The Red Harvest mine terrain looks pretty great as well, but Catacombs included the Warcry Core Book. And, frankly, the doors are so 80s it hurts – very Greyskull. That being said, I now have an awful lot to prime and only two pint sized rattle cans left – not the greatest option for my balcony. Priming currently requires a cardboard bivouac and a 48-hour window in which to seize on opportune wind conditions.
I decided to do something about it, starting with reviewing the videos I watched before I moved. Vince Venturella sold me on the airbrush all over again, and this time I bit the bullet before I could talk myself out of it. Miniac’s video helped me determine the essential accoutrements, at which point I figured, in for penny, in for a pound. Little plastic cups as painting handles has worn thin. I picked up some wooden spools and N35 magnets to try my version of the Goobertown Hobbies painting handle.
So to recap, I spent too much money on models and games, then immediately bought another game full of models, which necessitated additional tools, which in turn triggered an order of more supplies to organize the aforementioned purchases.
I have zero impulse control, a lot of gray to slay, and, coming soon, a storage problem.
I may have a few ideas on that front, though…
