No more stalling – I tested out my color scheme. The acid / lime green was too strong, it just wasn’t doing it for me. The green I ended up using doesn’t contrast as much as I’d hoped, especially after the wash. I may step up the midtone before I highlight. If that doesn’t do it, maybe I’ll try a more yellowy green just for the leaves themselves and leave the grass skirts as-is?
I’m not looking for a whole lot out of the dryads themselves; they’re pretty much cannon fodder and, at this point, I’m getting sick of them. Maybe I’ll revisit the lime for the symbols – that may be concentrated enough to not be overpowering.
