but it may have been the perfect project. It’s hella messy, but about two thirds of the way in, I’m pretty sure there was an audible click. My gears stop grinding, even if they’re not quite turning yet. Removing color from the equation simplified things greatly. I did find it a bit weird that the instructions referenced dry brushing as taking the most time. I spent far more time on the highlights, and they look like I drew them in crayon. C’est la vie. I could add more paint tomorrow, but I’d rather try to work through it on something new. The eyes turned out pretty well though; this one I may have to varnish as-is.
