Super glue alone did not hold. Twice. Nor did cement or E6000, and my epoxy is too cumbersome to drag out for a piece this small. Apparently its time to try pinning. And zenithal priming, though in the opposite order I should have as I was too impatient to wait for the primer to dry before I started drilling. I didn’t even bother to mask off the broken bits on the head, but it was already clouded from the trauma. The first half was off to a good set while I was priming, and it feels pretty solid, but couldn’t hurt to cure overnight and glue it to the base in the morning.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.
